Why use a REALTORĀ®?
You’ve seen the nationwide commercials on TV showing the happy American family that is living the American Dream with the completion of a real estate transaction. These TV commercials can be a reality for you and your family, when you work with a REALTOR®.
When you’re working with a REALTOR®, then you are working with a trained professional, which is ultimately what you want and need when making some of the biggest financial decisions of your life.
Each REALTOR® undergoes continuing education and ethics classes along with their local board training and company wide training. Therefore, when you work with a real estate agent that is a REALTOR®, you’re working with one of the best.
Not every licensed real estate agent is a REALTOR®. The differences between a REALTOR® and a Real Estate Agent may be subtle but the advantages of a using a REALTOR® over a Real Estate Agent is huge. As you may already know, the REALTOR® is affiliated with and a member of the National Association of REALTORS®. They have to abide by 17 articles of a strict Code of Ethics, which includes the “expectation of agents to be competent, to conform to standards of practice and to refuse to provide services for which they are unqualified.” (Article #11)
The Greater Springfield Board of REALTORS® requires all affiliated companies to comply with this code. So whether the real estate company you choose to work with is large or small, you still get quality agents no matter the company affiliation.
